Turkey with Jan
Deviating from my normal format for this Thanksgiving Day I wanted to acknowledge that sometimes we forget about a lot of the things that we have to be thankful for, so I have included a list below of things to reflect on as a gentle reminder of our blessings.
-
Laughter: Those lighthearted moments that make life better.
-
Good Health: Feeling well and being able to enjoy life’s moments.
-
Family: The love, support, and good times shared with family, near and far.
-
Friends: Those friends who bring laughs and have your back.
-
Pets: Our loyal, furry or feathered friends who make everything better.
-
A Cozy Home: A place to feel safe, relax, and recharge.
-
Good Food: Delicious meals and getting to share them with people you love.
-
Freedom: The ability to make choices and shape our own lives.
-
Kindness from Others: Those little moments of generosity that brighten the day.
-
Community: Being part of a group or neighborhood that feels like home.
-
Nature: The beauty of the outdoors, from calming landscapes to fresh air and sunshine.
-
Learning and Growth: Opportunities to learn new things, grow, and develop skills.
-
Personal Strengths: Resilience, determination, and talents that help us succeed.
-
Moments of Calm: Those quiet, peaceful times that help us recharge.
-
Creativity: The joy of expressing yourself, whether it’s through art, music, or problem-solving.
-
Technology: Connections made possible with friends, family, and resources through technology.
-
Acts of Kindness: Those thoughtful gestures we give and receive that brighten our days.
-
Mentors and Teachers: People who guide us and teach us valuable lessons.
-
Memories: Cherished moments from the past that bring comfort and joy.
-
New Beginnings: The chance to start fresh and pursue new paths or goals.
-
Living in the Moment: The ability to appreciate life as it is, right here and now.
-
Good Books: Stories, knowledge, and ideas that transport us and inspire.
-
Celebrations: Shared traditions that bring meaning and connection to our lives.
-
Forgiveness: The healing that comes with forgiving others and us.
-
Hope and Optimism: The belief that things will work out and the motivation to be a better person today than you were yesterday.
I wish you all a warm, happy, and healthy Thanksgiving with your family friends. I am thankful to have you all in my life and look forward to being here for you for many years to come.
Always supporting you, Jan
