This month, our discussions evolve around calming the chaos and reducing distractions. This can be more difficult for the younger generations since they have had keypads, screens, and social media their whole lives. It is nonetheless important to set aside time away from social media at least occasionally so you can see the sky or speak with the person right in front of you. This week, start to limit your exposure to negative content.

"Don’t allow negative people or negative media to hijack your peace of mind." – Unknown
All living things respond to positive and negative influences, both of which occur naturally in life. However, the more you are exposed to the negative, the more it will impact your life and, in many cases, create unnecessary challenges or problems.
Today's Coaching Challenge
What specific changes can you make to reduce exposure to negativity while still staying informed and connected?
Not only do you encounter negative people, but you are also subjected to the algorithms created by the social media platforms and search engines that are set up to give you more of what you look at. When you start following or viewing more positive feeds, they will send more of the same to you. You might still get caught going "down the rabbit hole," but it will be uplifting, not destructive.
Action to take
Unfollow or mute accounts that regularly post negative or divisive content. Follow accounts that align with your values and interests, providing content that adds value, motivation, or positivity to your life.
Always supporting you, Jan
