Sometimes we dismiss small steps because they don’t seem significant enough. We think if it’s not a big effort or a noticeable change, it doesn’t really count. So we overlook the small things—the quick decisions, the simple actions, the little shifts that don’t feel dramatic in the moment. But those are often the very things that quietly move us forward.
Quote
“Little by little, a little becomes a lot.” — Tanzanian Proverb
Progress doesn’t always look dramatic. More often, it looks like steady, consistent movement that builds over time. Small steps may not feel powerful in the moment, but they compound. And before you know it, what once felt small has created something meaningful.
Today's Coaching Challenge
Where in your life are small efforts already adding up, even if you haven’t fully recognized them?
Taking time to acknowledge progress—especially the kind that happens quietly—helps build confidence and momentum. When you see that your efforts matter, it becomes easier to keep going.
Action to take
Take a moment to recognize one area where your small steps are already making a difference—and then take one more.
Always supporting you, Jan
