Have you ever noticed how a small gesture — a door held open, a smile offered, a quick “how’s your day going?” — can shift the energy in a moment? These tiny acts don’t take much time or effort, but they can make someone feel seen, valued, and a little less alone. Practicing micro-consideration is a way to bring presence and kindness into the spaces we move through each day.

 Quote

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring — all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” — Leo Buscaglia

Buscaglia’s words remind us that we don’t need grand gestures to make a difference. The smallest kindness, when offered sincerely, often carries the greatest weight. It's not about performance — it's about presence.

Today's Coaching Challenge

Where in your daily routine could you make space for one small act of kindness or consideration?

We all move through a variety of roles — professional, parent, friend, stranger in line at the store — and each one offers opportunities to practice awareness and connection. By simply noticing others and choosing to respond with kindness, you shift not only your own energy but often theirs as well.

Action to take

Pick one place in your day — your commute, your lunch break, a meeting, or even your errands — and make a conscious effort to offer a small act of kindness. Hold a door, offer a compliment, or ask someone how they’re doing… and actually wait for the answer.
