The key to getting someone to do something is to inspire them to want to do it. So, how can you encourage people to feel motivated to take action for you? How do you strengthen your ability to influence and persuade others effectively? Let's look at another way to build influence this week.
Quote
"Consistency is the true foundation of trust. Either keep your promises or do not make them." — Roy T. Bennett
People are way more likely to follow your lead if they trust you. And trust? It’s all about being consistent. Stick to your word, keep your promises, and show up like clockwork. When folks know they can count on you, they’ll be much more open to hearing what you have to say—and maybe even agreeing with you!
Today's Coaching Challenge
What steps can you take to consistently show up and keep your promises, so that others trust and are more willing to follow your lead?
I don't think many people realize how important it is to follow through with what you say you are going to do. Being consistent and keeping your promise is what it means when someone says, "My word is my bond". In other words, you can count on me.
Action to take
Review your commitments then create a routine that helps you stay organized and on track, such as using reminders, and checklists. If you are running late let the other people know.
Always supporting you, Jan
